July, August & September went by in a blur!
- We looked after Penny, the Wigney’s dog for almost 3 weeks
- I spent 11 days up in Kalamazoo looking after Caroline, while Richard & Christina went on vacation
- My dad & sister came for 2 weeks in September and at the same time looked after Jenson & the dogs for a week while Louisa & Jon were at Interbike in Vegas and Patrick was away at trade shows
- Took my dad & sister to Chattanooga, Tennessee for a steam train trip
- Had car problems
- Robin came over from England for a week
- Sailed almost every other weekend
- Helped Louisa with the LNYC July 3 Family Day and got involved with the Independence Day Regatta
- Helped with the Highlander Club Dinner
- Did without Maria for a month
- Did RC duty for the Board Bash
- Went to the Cabarrus Quilters Guild Show
- Went to see Joe Walsh courtesy of Tom Nunnenkamp
- Finished lining & reorganizing all the kitchen cupboards & drawersOn the sewing front I:
- Sewed 10 Pipers flags
- Made 11 Outdoor cushions
- Made 4 Sunroom cushions
- Recovered the 6 kitchen & 2 sunroom chairs
- Made a wall hanging from a panel Cheryl had given me some time ago
- Took up the skirt for Cheryl’s wedding outfit & got my black “rose” skirt to look normalMy next sewing plan is to make 6(!) quilts before Christmas. I have already pieced 2, so maybe it will all work out.
