July, August & September went by in a blur!

  • We looked after Penny, the Wigney’s dog for almost 3 weeks
  • I spent 11 days up in Kalamazoo looking after Caroline, while Richard & Christina went on vacation

  • My dad & sister came for 2 weeks in September and at the same time looked after Jenson & the dogs for a week while Louisa & Jon were at Interbike in Vegas and Patrick was away at trade shows
  • Took my dad & sister to Chattanooga, Tennessee for a steam train trip
  • Had car problems
  • Robin came over from England for a week
  • Sailed almost every other weekend
  • Helped Louisa with the LNYC July 3 Family Day and got involved with the Independence Day Regatta
  • Helped with the Highlander Club Dinner
  • Did without Maria for a month
  • Did RC duty for the Board Bash
  • Went to the Cabarrus Quilters Guild Show
  • Went to see Joe Walsh courtesy of Tom Nunnenkamp
  • Finished lining & reorganizing all the kitchen cupboards & drawers

    On the sewing front I:

  • Sewed 10 Pipers flags
  • Made 11 Outdoor cushions
  • Made 4 Sunroom cushions
  • Recovered the 6 kitchen & 2 sunroom chairs
  • Made a wall hanging from a panel Cheryl had given me some time ago
  • Took up the skirt for Cheryl’s wedding outfit & got my black “rose” skirt to look normal

My next sewing plan is to make 6(!) quilts before Christmas.  I have already pieced 2, so maybe it will all work out.
